trick or treat?

These Dress Up Dolls are wearing their finest Halloween fancy dress. Just check out that spook-tacular skeleton suit!

The standard ecopapershapes doll doesn't include witchy dress and pointy hat, so we improvised and simply snipped them out of black paper. What will yours wear?

raise your glasses

We love a bit of glitter at ecopapershapes. Last weekend we decided to glitter up our Specs, so we coated them in glue and liberally sprinkled them with glitter:

When we'd finished sweeping up glitter from the floor we taped a paper straw to the back of the specs to make a handy handle...

... and started making faces.

It turned out there were lots of other faces around the house that looked good in our specs:

Who knew Marcel Marceau looked so good in blue glittery frames? And as for Jimmy Stewart...

papercharms diorama

The other day we used our Papercharms to make a box lid scene. That's what we're calling it anyway can you think of a better name?

We cut the top off an empty washing powder box and taped around the edges to make it hold together. Then we added a sky-blue background by inserting a pre-painted piece of paper cut to the right size.

We picked the tree, house and cloud Papercharms to use in our scene. The house and trees needed some little carboard tabs stuck to the back to make them stand up; the cloud was dangled from the top of the box with a little strip of tape.

Then it was simply a matter of arranging them as we fancied. Followed by terrorising them with a passing dinosaur...

You can buy your own Papercharms here.

winter woollies

There's definitely a nip in the air and it feels like autumn is upon us. Fortunately, the ecopapershapes Dress Up Doll is kitted out with a variety of winter accessories which include a stylish poncho, woolly hat, mittens, earmuffs, fur-trimmed boots, snuggly scarf and even ice skates.

So don't let the chill get you down tog up your own doll...

... and you're ready for anything the weather can throw at you.

Stylish AND practical that's how we like it. You can buy your doll here (ice skates included, naturally). Stay warm, won't you?

and the winner is...

Our own little homage to the heroic victor of the Great British Bake Off... We're not sure that our swiss roll would stand up to Mary Berry's gimlet gaze, but surely a charming ecopapershapes cake topper would melt Paul Hollywood's flinty heart?

'Ten minutes from perfection' is our new mantra. And you can buy your Tea Set here.

about our card

All our ecopapershapes are cut from 100% recycled card. Because it's recycled, our card has a lovely soft tactile quality and provides the perfect neutral surface for paint, pen, pencil, glue or whatever else you feel like throwing at it. It's very virtuous, but on its own even we have to admit that it's not hugely exciting...

So we've made it a whole lot more exciting by laser cutting it into a variety of delightfully quirky shapes for you to make things with.

Our card is also a nice medium weight – about the same thickness as a postcard or the cover of your favourite colouring-in book (if you want the technical spec, our Alphabet, Tea Set, Papercharms, and Doll are made from 280gsm card and our Specs are cut from 320gsm card). Which means that all our ecopapershapes are robust enough to stand up to some serious crafting.

So what are you waiting for?

dressed to impress

The ecopapershapes Dress Up Doll has more than FIFTY items of clothing and accessories, including a swimming costume, rollerskates, a tutu, a poncho, fur-trimmed boots, spectacles, a onesie, earmuffs, cowboy boots, a party hat, ice skates and a crown.

That's one heck of a lot of outfits. So what will yours wear? Get styling! You can find out more about our Dress Up Doll in the 'our ecopapershapes' section and you can buy your Dress Up Doll here.
